Mom & Dad at their 50th Anniversary

Mom & Dad (Mr. & Mrs. Mateo Rosales) on their 50th wedding anniversary, Mar. 18, 1993. Photo taken at their home in front of the huge sculpture of the “Last Supper”. She was afraid of the Japanese so she made up her mind to marry my father after 4 years of courtship.

Jungle in Alitagtag

This is a picture of the jungle in Alitagtag. Picture taken in ’90s. Can you imagine what it was like in 1945?

Anothe View of the Jungle

Another shot of the jungle in Alitagtag. I used these jungle shots for the cover of “BAHALA NA”.

Tagaytay

Tagaytay Ridge overlooking Taal Lake, used to be heavy vegetation. Now developers are building homes destroying the landscape. It’s sad!

Taal Lake

Across from Tagaytay on Alitagtag side. The gray mountain is Mt. Makulot in Cuenca where the Japanese were holed up.

Zigzag Rd. CuencaThis is a section of the zigzag road in Cuenca where heavy fighting between the Japanese and the American soldiers took place before they reached Manila. It must be a dirt road back then. Still jungle on both sides of the road.
